New dyslexia software tool

A computer programming student at Turkey’s İzmir University has developed software that eases life for school children suffering from dyslexia by coloring digital texts to make each word more readable.

Caner Yakupoğlu was awarded third place for his “Dyslexia Easy Reader” project in a competition held by Ege University for vocational faculties.

New ADA guidelines for school and work

The US Department of Justice just released final regulations regarding the implementation of the American for Disabilities Act. “These rules clarify and refine issues that have arisen over the past 20 years and contain new and updated requirements.”

The regulations should be shared with ALL schools and workplaces when requesting accommodations.
